Juneau Marathon and Half-Marathon 2026
USATF-certified marathon (7 AM start) and half-marathon (9 AM start) on Douglas Highway along Gastineau Channel with views of Mendenhall Glacier. The 2026 marathon serves as the RRCA Alaska State Marathon Championship and is a Boston Marathon qualifier. All finishers receive a medal and technical shirt.

Kenai River Classic
The 2026 Kenai River Classic is a three-day catch-and-release salmon fishing tournament on the Kenai River, held August 19 through 21 and organized by the Kenai River Sportfishing Association. The event includes a roundtable discussion on Alaska king salmon conservation and a banquet and auction at the Soldotna Field House on August 21. Registration is available at krsa.com.
Kenai Peninsula Borough Fair
The Kenai Peninsula Borough Fair is a community fair held in Ninilchik in late August, featuring exhibits, livestock, entertainment, and family activities. MomCo at ChangePoint Alaska - Wednesday Morning Meetup
MomCo (formerly MOPS - Mothers of Preschoolers) at ChangePoint Alaska meets every other Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM for moms of young children. Meetups include practical teaching through speakers, demonstrations, and videos, plus honest conversations with other moms. Free childcare (KidsClub) is provided for children during the meetup.
